Missouri Democratic Party Elects Mike Sanders Chairman

Darlene Green Elected Vice-Chair, Bob Levine Elected DNC Committeeman

During a conference call Saturday, the Missouri Democratic State Committee unanimously elected Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders as MDP’s new Chairman. Also on the call, St. Louis City Comptroller Darlene Green was elected as the Party’s new Vice-Chair and Bob Levine will represent the Party as DNC Committeeman.

“I’m honored by this opportunity to ensure we elect Democrats across the state who will fight to create jobs, fight for the middle class and keep Missouri moving forward,” Sanders said. “I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work alongside our new vice-chair, Darlene Green, so Missouri Democrats have the grassroots support and resources they need to win in 2012.”

Sanders, who has developed a proven record of leadership and fundraising prowess in one of Missouri’s most influential counties, takes over as Chairman with the full support of Governor Jay Nixon and Senator Claire McCaskill.

“With Mike Sanders at the helm, the Missouri Democratic Party is strongly positioned to win races from the top of the ticket on down,” Sen. McCaskill said. “Mike’s work, as County Executive and as former Jackson County Prosecutor, has earned praise and garnered incredible respect across the state of Missouri. We’re lucky to have Mike on board and look forward to working with him toward a successful election night in November 2012.”

“Mike Sanders is one of our state’s most skilled and respected leaders,” Gov. Nixon said. “As the Jackson County Executive, Mike has a record of bringing people together to balance his budget and help businesses create jobs. And on the campaign trail, Mike has shown himself to be a relentless candidate who knows how to win tough races. His record of accomplishment, both in public office and on the campaign trail, make him the clear choice to lead the Missouri Democratic Party in 2012.”

“I’m truly looking forward to working with Mike to ensure that all Missouri Democrats have a voice within the party,” Green said. “We have a lot of work to get done in order to be successful and I’m honored to be a part of such a great team that knows how to win elections and fight for the values we all hold dear.”

Also on Saturday morning, the State Committee approved its delegate selection plan, voting to respect Missouri state law and move forward as planned with the state-run primary. MDP will file a waiver request with the Democratic National Committee to avoid any sanctions.

"We are Asian Americans Community members and Minority leadership living in USA and Exercising our Rights in the Political Process and we want to participate in the main stream politics and craete a platform for our next generation.

Government policies and procedures in the US are reflection of the wishes of its citizens. Our basic assumption is that the Asian American Democrat Caucus of Missouri would be able to influence the decisions made by our government through our representatives from great state Missouri. The Asian American Democrat Caucus of Missouri, consisting of both citizens and Legal Permanent  Residents (LPR), who would become citizens in 1-7 Years, would like to use this political forum to present their positions on the concurrent issues that im pmpact them.

Welcome From the Chairman

Welcome, Missouri Democrats, to our Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus "MDPAAC" political website. This is an exciting year to be a Missouri democrat. As we celebrate the long-awaited arrival of a Democratic President, as we must amplify our focus on growing the party here in Missouri. Over the last decade, the Missouri Democratic Party made inroads throughout the state. In order to build on our successes, we must continue to provide our elected officials, candidates, and supporters with the resources they need to the 2010 elections present our party with extraordinary opportunities. With elections victory of Governor Jay Nixon, ingredients with Obama-Biden Administration we have a lot to do. With the election for Secretary of State Robin Carnahan up for state senate race, Treasurer Clint Zweifel just elected, State Auditor Susan Montee elected in 2006, for re-election in 2010. The next election we have to prove our dedicated work to put democrat candidate and their victory will determine our success.

With millions of suffering through this economic crisis, it is clear Americans are seeking a new way forward. The country craves true leaders who will meet challenges with ideas, not ideology – with solutions, not stall tactics – and with problem solving, not politics. With your help, the Missouri Democratic Party can join with President Obama and Governor Jay Nixon to implement the commonsense solutions needed to put our country, and our state, back on the right track.

Your MDPAAC is dedicated along with MDP is committed to keeping you informed about new developments and counting on your support as we work to keep the Party moving forward and recruit the next crop of Missouri Leaders. Our success has been the result of a team effort and we are proud of what you have helped us achieve.

It has been my pleasure to introduce you the new Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus (MDPAAC) and I pledged that we would be good stewards of your contributions. Your offering of both, time and, money have rebuilt this Party from the ground up. With your continued support, we will be ready to win again in 2010.

Together we will build an even stronger Democratic Party here in Missouri.

We stand for our right and we united for our determination and Action.
